Green Gizmo Isolation and Damper System (IDS) is a true isolation system. Green Gizmo developed an Isolation and Damper System (IDS) to reduce the negative vibrations caused by the relationship between hardware and the listening environment. These unwanted vibrations can reduce audio quality, and negatively alter the perception of sound produced by audio components. Green Gizmo IDS is a true isolation system that adheres to the highest quality standards, accurately reproducing sound as it was intended in all listening environments. Fully customization design: A great feature of the IDS is its adjustability. Each unit contains 9 bearings that can be can be removed to accommodate different weights to maintain optimal isolation and fine tuning. Individual IDS units can also be adjusted to compensate for components with uneven weight distribution. Units are not required to be adjusted and by default are designed for 4 IDS units to support 10lbs to 60 pounds without any adjustments. Each IDS unit can support a maximum of 15lbs/ 6.8kg Each bearing can efficiently support 1.6 lbs/ 0.725 kg Example: 4 IDS units under a 15 lb speaker can be adjusted using a minimum of 3 bearings per IDS unit. This will support a total component weight of 19.2 lbs. / 8.7kg *The total weight supported by the 4 IDS units must support 4lbs or more than the total component weight *A minimum of 3 IDS units are required for even balance on large components. Do not try to do a balancing act with 1 or 2 units. Overloading units will diminish performance qualities and damage IDS unit. Add additional units if maximum load is exceeded
